The Zipped Books WebRing

The formal statement for membership of this webring is:

"This webring welcomes all sites publishing electronic books (e-books, eBooks) so long as some of the books offered are in Zipped Books format. Such sites may also include books in '.pdf' format (Adobe Acrobat Reader) or '.lit' format (MS Reader), or any other format making digital books readable on PCs."

The webring exists to encourage the use of the Zipped Books format, in the belief that it will empower more and more people to make ebooks, either from texts they have written themselves, or from texts they believe others will benefit from having access to. The format of Zipped Books is an open one, the software needed to make a Zipped Books is available as freeware, and there is no expectation of a commercial return, or profit, from the use of this format.

If you wish to correspond with the ringmaster, the address is zippedbooks@yahoo.co.uk. Applications for membership of the ring are invited from all webmasters whose sites qualify by the inclusion of some material in the Zipped Books format. This, rather than content, is the sole criterion.
